Endelig er EA og Microsoft blitt enige om hvordan de skal implementere Xbox Live i EA Sports mange glimrende sportsspill. Da er det med andre ord duket for flere storslåtte online turneringer i EA's nye sportsspill og først ut er FIFA Football 2005.

De av dere som allerede har Xbox Live vet hvor godt denne tjenesten fungerer, og her på GR gleder vi oss til å følge avviklikngen av det interaktive VM. Er du en dreven FIFA spiller og har du lyst til å prøve deg i kvalifiseringen, må du melde deg på på ved å registrere deg på DENNE SIDEN. En påmelding krever selvsagt at du også har Xbox Live.

QUALIFY AS A TOP FOOTBALLER ON XBOX LIVE
The FIFA Interactive World Cup Qualifying Tournament on Xbox Live - Win Automatic Entry to FIFA Interactive World Cup Regional Tournament in London, Paris or Berlin.

Think your online football skills are in the premier league? Looking for a way to fast-track through the FIFA Interactive World Cup, the world’s first ever FIFA sanctioned video game tournament? Well, from 15 October 2004, you can - by taking part in the FIFA Interactive World Cup Qualifying Tournament on Xbox® Live™. Members of the Xbox Live service can play EA SPORTS™ FIFA Football 2005 online with the top 60 scorers automatically qualifying for the Regional Tournament.

The FIFA Interactive World Cup Qualifying Tournament on Xbox Live is a collaborative initiative, brought to gamers by Xbox, FIFA and Electronic Arts, the world’s leading interactive entertainment software company. It runs on the Xbox Live service from 15 October to 5 November, 2004. On 5 November, 60 winners will be selected from the EA SPORTS™ FIFA Football 2005 leader boards. Each wins a trip to one of the FIFA Interactive World Cup Regional Tournaments to be held in London (20 November 2004), Paris (4 December 2004) and Berlin (11 December 2004) plus automatic entry in that Regional Tournament where they get the chance to kick, defend, tackle and score their way to win the ultimate video game bragging rights - being named FIFA Interactive World Player 2004.

They will also receive two night’s accommodation near to the Regional Tournament venue, dinner the night before the event, a relaxing pre-match massage, a limousine to transport them from their hotel to the FIFA Interactive World Cup Regional Tournament, plus a commemorative FIFA Interactive World Cup VIP T-Shirt.

How to take part:

Xbox Live members first need to go to the following URL and register for the tournament from today: https://www.xbox.com/nb-no/fifainteractiveworldcup/qualifier.htm.

After registering, all members need to do is play EA SPORTS™ FIFA Football 2005 on Xbox Live. The FIFA Interactive World Cup Qualifying Tournament on Xbox Live kicks off at (00:01hrs BST / 01.01hrsCET) on 15 October, 2004 and ends at approximately (11:59hrs GMT/ 12.59hrs CET) on 5 November, 2004 when the EA SPORTS™ FIFA Football 2005 leader boards will be recorded and the 60 highest ranked eligible players will be determined.

To be eligible, gamers must own an Xbox, a copy of EA SPORTS™ FIFA Football 2005, be over 18 and have an active Xbox Live account. They must also be in one of the 14 participating European countries - Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, UK, Switzerland. The FIFA Interactive World Cup is a new video game tournament combining on and off-line football gaming action featuring EA SPORTS™ FIFA Football 2005 on Xbox and Xbox Live. The FIFA Interactive World Cup will travel to six continents from October to December 2004. Not only are football fans given the chance to win the ultimate prize - being named FIFA Interactive World Player 2004 - but at each of the eight Regional Tournaments they will also have the chance to sharpen up their real-world football skills with the pros, enjoying music from big-name DJs, and lots of surprises.
