Rockstar og Capcom utgir GTA3

Som oftest er det de europeiske gamerne som må vente og vente påå få spille de store japanske titlene. I tilfellet Grand Theft Auto 3, er det derimot japanerne som har ventet uendelig lenge.

Nå kan Rockstar endelig fortelle at de har inngått en avtale Capcom, om å utgi det suksessrike spillet i Japan, til både PlayStation 2 og PC. Sam Houser fra Rockstar sa følgende:

"We are extremely excited to have the opportunity to bring Grand Theft Auto 3 to the Japanese gaming public. We at Rockstar Games have great respect for Japan's passionate gaming community and admire its celebrated video game history. We have always felt that the freedom, non-linearity and gameplay mechanics explored in the Grand Theft Auto series possessed a universal allure that would appeal to gamers worldwide and clearly, Capcom shares the same beliefs. We look forward to working with them to extend the global reach of our best-selling franchise."

Kenzo Tsujimoto fra Capcom hadde følgende kommentar:

Grand Theft Auto 3 slippes i Japan på PS2 og PC i løpet av høsten 2003. Så kom ikke her med "de får alt først" attituden!
